Is the restaurant open?
At the moment, lunch and dinner buffet have been suspended. However, we offer a soup buffet, with bread and different spreads.
A person in my group can't come. Can they get a refund?
Please contact us at fontana@fontana.is or speak to a member of staff upon arrival.
Is there rye bread available for sale?
Yes, depending on the hot spring activity.
Most of the time, we have fresh tastings and whole pieces for sale.
Please ask one of the team members.
Unfortunately, we can't ship bread abroad.

Do I need to book my tickets in advance?
We recommend that our guests book tickets in advance, but tickets can also be purchased at Fontana's reception for walk-in guests subject to availability.
For groups larger than 10pax, please e-mail fontana@fontana.is.
How do I book the Rye Bread tour?
All days are bread-baking days at 11:45 am and 2:30 pm.

Price is 2.990 ISK pr. person. (0-12 years old go free)

What is your cancellation policy?
By purchasing tickets to any of Laugarvatn Fontana's activities, you accept our cancellation policy. All cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before your visit to get a full refund.
- If you cancel with more than 48 hours notice, you get a full refund
- If you cancel with 24 - 48 hours notice, we charge 50% and refund 50%
- If you cancel with less then 24 hours notice, we charge 100%
In the unlikely event of a sudden closure of Laugarvatn Fontana, guests choose whether they reschedule the visit or get a full refund.
How do I get there?
Unfortunately, there are no direct buses between Reykjavík and Laugarvatn Fontana so self-drive is always the best result.
