When can I join a geothermal bakery tour?
Between June 1 and September 30, we have daily geothermal bakery tours at 10:15, 12:15 and 14:15 and 16.15 In the remaining months we have tours starting at 10.15, 11:45 and 14:30.
Can I buy rye bread on site?
Yes, depending on the geyser activity and tour density. Most of the time, we have fresh tastings to try in our bistro and 1/4 loafs for take-away only, just ask in our bistro in the main building. Unfortunately, we can't ship bread domestically or abroad.
Do I need to book in advance?
We recommend that you book tickets in advance, but tickets can also be purchased at Fontana's reception for walk-in guests, as long as we're not sold out. The rye bead tours are often sold out, so make sure you book acording to your schedule and plan for the baths after.

What is your cancellation policy?
By purchasing tickets to any of Fontana's activities, you accept our cancellation policy.
Cancellations for the baths must be made at least 24 hours before your visit for a full refund.
Cancellations for the rye bread tour must be made at least 48 hours before the tour starts for a full refund. After that, no refund is given.
Cancellations made inside these windows are non-refundable; the full amount is charged.
In the unlikely event of a sudden closure at Fontana, guests can choose to reschedule or receive a full refund.
Most changes and refunds can be made at my.fontana.is using your booking number and email address.
