Soup of the day is served every day at Laugarvatn Fontana. Our café offers a wide selection of delicious cakes, bites, hot and cold drinks.

1.900 ISK per person with freshly baked bread.

 

At Laugarvatn, people still bake their traditional Icelandic rye bread in the hot sand by the lake, where trout are caught and smoked at a nearby farm. Both are simply a must try and a great match, and you can get them in our restaurant.

Not only do we get to serve local trout and rye bread, but we are also so lucky to have the mecca of Icelandic vegetable cultivation just within a half-an-hour drive - at the village of Fludir - so we try to serve as much locally produced food as possible.
